    This cake is divine. The perfect balance of citrus and poppy seeds. Beautifully moist and the cream cheese frosting is to die for. Worth the 4 hour return trip to pick up.

    This is my favourite cake of all time and I purchase it every year for my birthday from New York Patisserie. There’s something quietly addictive about it and truth be told I could eat the whole thing!

    It is beautifully light yet moist, with that gentle density you want in a proper tea cake. The orange flavour tastes real—zesty, fragrant, and just sharp enough to cut through the sweetness without overpowering it. Then come the poppy seeds, adding that subtle nuttiness and a delicate crunch that keeps every bite interesting. And the piece de resistance is the cream cheese icing! Oh my! It really makes the cake absolutely superb! You could easily have a slice with a cup of tea and feel virtuous… and then find yourself going back for another without a second thought. Am I giving myself away???

    This truly is a memorable, deeply delicious and wonderful cake that everyone I have introduced to loves!
